Understanding one another is where every good relationship begins — between partners, between friends, and around the kitchen table.

Finding the ideal partner for life is about being the ideal partner for life.
A successful relationship requires honesty, respect, awareness, engagement, consideration and trust. These are strong and fundamental foundations to build any loving relationship on, whether that’s between partners or friends.
But oh, the language of love is a tricky one! There isn’t one universal language, even though that’s what we’ve been told. Your communication style will be determined by your personality type, upbringing and past experiences.
Navigating any relationship requires a deeper understanding of one another’s ‘language’, individual needs and an acceptance of one another.
If you are facing relationship difficulties or challenges, don’t wait for things to feel so bad they are irreversible. Coaching frequently shines a light on the decisions we are most afraid to make, but often, small changes early on can give us so much clarity, we can spare ourselves a lot of unnecessary pain.

As parents, it’s our job to be the adults!
A harmonious family is a family that understands the value in communication, boundaries, respect and compassion.
I think most families know that, but let’s face it, the actual day to day functioning and dynamics within families brings with it so many challenges and difficulties, that sometimes we simply lose our way a little and need support to get back on track.
Learning how to communicate respectfully within families is where positive change really happens. Setting boundaries and being consistent is absolutely vital if we are to see these positive changes sustained. Asking ourselves if our behaviour is congruent with our values; well, that’s often a tough wake up call for us adults, which forces us to question how we are raising our children and the examples we are showing them.
The joy that small changes can bring is incredible. But those changes normally must start with us, the ‘grown-ups’!
Families often struggle with the day to day challenges that life throws at us, but setting boundaries and communicating calmly is always a good place to start. Do you need a Mediation Coach for this?
